ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Oxygen cycle

The oxygen cycle is like an endless loop that helps give us the air that we need to breathe. Plants use up the carbon dioxide in the air to make food and give off oxygen. This oxygen is then used by animals (including people!) when we breathe it in. The oxygen that we breathe out then goes back into the air, where the plants use it again and the cycle repeats itself!
