Pall-bearer

Okay kiddo, a pall-bearer is someone who helps carry a really big, heavy box called a casket. The casket is where a person who has passed away is put inside as they get ready for their final resting place.

Now, because the casket is really big and heavy, it can be hard for just one person to carry it by themselves. That's why the pall-bearers help out. Usually, there are six pall-bearers and they each grab onto handles on the sides of the casket. Then, they all work together to lift it up and carefully move it to where it needs to go, like in front of a church for a funeral service.

Being a pall-bearer is a really important job, because they help carry the person who has passed away to their final resting place with respect and care.
