Palloza

A palloza is like a big round house in a place called Galicia in Spain. It's made from stone and thatched with straw, which means it's like a really big hat made from dry grass. The palloza has a thatched roof that sweeps down to meet the ground and walls made of stones.

Inside the palloza, there's a big room where people can live, eat and sleep. This room usually has a big fireplace where people can light a fire to stay warm. Some pallozas have a smaller room called an ovil where people kept their animals, like cows and chickens.

People in Galicia used to live in pallozas a long, long time ago. These days, not many people live in them anymore. They are mostly used as tourist attractions or museums so people can learn about what life was like in the olden days.

So, you can think of a palloza like a giant round house with a grassy hat on top and a big room inside where people used to live, eat and sleep a long, long time ago in Spain.
