Panbanisha
Panbanisha was a very special and clever gorilla who could communicate with humans using a special language called American Sign Language. Just like you and I use words to talk to each other, she used hand signs to communicate with her human friends.
Panbanisha was born in a place called Georgia in America and was brought up by some human scientists who took care of her and taught her how to communicate using sign language. She lived in a special enclosure with everything she needed, like a bed to sleep on and toys to play with.
One of the most amazing things about Panbanisha was that she could understand lots of different things that humans talked about, like stories or jokes. She could even understand some things that were really complicated!
Panbanisha was very loved by the humans who looked after her, and she helped them learn more about gorillas and how they think and feel. Sadly, Panbanisha passed away in 2012, but her legacy lives on as an example of how amazing our animal friends can be!
