Pandavleni caves are big holes in rocky mountains that people made thousands of years ago. They are located in a place called Nashik in India.
Long, long ago, some people called "the Pandavas" lived there for a while. They were five brothers who were very brave and very strong. They had amazing adventures, and some people even believe they talked with the gods! But one day, they had to leave that place and go on another adventure, leaving the caves behind.
After the Pandavas left, many other people came to the area, like monks and kings, and they wanted to make their own homes in the caves. So they started to carve the rocks and make rooms and hallways inside them. They made some really cool designs too, like elephants, lions, flowers and gods.
People used these caves for many different reasons. Some made them into temples, where they could pray and offer gifts to gods. Others used them as homes or places to study and meditate.
Many, many years later, people still go to see these caves and admire the amazing work that was done so long ago. They also learn about the history and culture of the people who lived there. It's a very special place that reminds us of our ancient past.
