ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Parallel processor

Okay kiddo, so you know how your brain can think about lots of things at the same time? Well, computers can do the same thing with a special technique called parallel processing.

Imagine you have a big puzzle to solve, and you have lots of friends to help you. Each friend can work on a different piece of the puzzle at the same time, so the puzzle gets solved much faster than if just one person worked on it alone.

That’s kind of how parallel processing works. A computer can have lots of tiny computers inside it that all work together to solve a big problem in a faster way. They can work on different parts of the problem all at once, which saves time and helps get the answer faster.

So instead of just one computer doing a task, a parallel processor can have lots of mini computers working together to solve big problems much faster than a regular computer. It’s like a team working together to get things done much faster.
