Okay kiddo, have you ever played with marbles? Parametron is like a toy for grown-ups that uses marbles to do very important things.
Imagine you have two tubes, and each tube is filled with a bunch of marbles. Some marbles are colored red and some are colored blue. We call these marbles "paramagnetic particles".
If we put a bunch of red marbles into one tube and a bunch of blue marbles into the other tube, then the tubes will be different from each other.
Now imagine we connect these tubes with a small pipe. If we shake the tubes, some of the marbles will bounce around and get stuck in the small pipe.
If we shake the tubes in a certain way, we can get only the red marbles to get stuck in the small pipe. And if we shake the tubes in a different way, we can get only the blue marbles to get stuck in the small pipe.
This is the basic idea behind parametron: we use the motion of marbles to control the flow of electricity in a circuit.
By using lots of little tubes, each filled with different colored marbles, we can make very complex circuits that can do all sorts of important things.
So, when you see grown-ups talking about parametron, just remember they are playing with marbles to do some really cool stuff with electricity.
