Paranthropus

Okay, so Paranthropus was a group of really old, like super duper old, people that lived a long time ago when dinosaurs were not around anymore. They were a kind of close cousin to us humans but they looked a bit different.

They were smaller than us and their face was a lot more flat than ours. They also had really big, strong jaws and teeth that they used to eat tough foods like roots and plants. They walked on two legs just like us, but they had shorter legs than we do and they were a bit heavier.

We don't really have any of them around anymore because they lived so long ago, but we can tell a lot about them from their bones that we find when we look in the dirt. Scientists study their bones and other stuff they find, like rocks and tools, to learn more about how they lived and what kind of things they did. They're pretty cool to learn about!
