Parental alienation syndrome

Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) is a way that one parent can try to make a child hate the other parent. It happens when a parent badmouths the other parent and tries to turn the child against them. It's very hurtful for the child who may start to feel like they can't trust either of their parents. PAS can damage the parent-child relationship and make it harder for the family to stay close.
