Pareto distribution

A Pareto distribution is used to describe a situation with unequal distribution of something. To explain this with an example, let's think about how much money people have. If you look at lots of people, you'll find that some of them have a lot of money, but most of them have not very much. This unequal distribution is what a Pareto distribution is used to describe.
