ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Partial word

A partial word is like a word with some of the letters missing. Let's say you have the word "cat." If you take away the letter "t," you're left with the partial word "ca." That's a partial word because it's not a complete word. You need more letters to make it complete. Sometimes people use partial words when they're playing word games, like trying to guess a word with only a few of the letters showing. But in normal writing and speaking, we usually use complete words because they make more sense. So if you see or hear a partial word, just remember that it's like a puzzle piece that needs more pieces to make the whole picture.
