Participatory surveillance

Participatory surveillance is when people join in to help monitor or watch certain activities or places. For example, people might join together to watch out for wildlife in a park and report what they see to the people in charge. It's like everybody helping to be a team of spies or keep an eye out for anything unusual in the area.
