Particle beam

A particle beam is a stream of tiny particles, like very tiny pieces of matter, that have been given a lot of energy. This energy makes the particles move really fast, like a beam of light. Scientists use particle beams to study the structure of atoms, which are really tiny pieces of matter, and to measure certain things in experiments.
