ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Electron beam

An electron beam is a stream of very small particles that carries electricity. Electrons are so small that they are invisible to the human eye. They are like tiny balls of energy. The electrons travel in a straight line, very quickly, and can be used to build things and do work. For example, we use electron beams to make televisions, computers and other electronics because they can carry electricity very quickly and accurately.
