Passing (racial identity)

Passing is when someone is able to conceal their racial identity. This is usually done by people from a minority racial group to blend in and appear as someone from a majority racial group. People might do this to gain certain privileges or opportunities they wouldn't have had if they were identified as a member of the minority group. It can also be done to protect themselves from discrimination or danger.
