Pastil

Pastil is a tasty food that comes from the Philippines. It's usually made with chicken, which is cooked with yummy spices and wrapped in a soft, thin layer of rice.

To make pastil, first the chicken is boiled in a pot with water and some seasonings, like garlic and ginger. Once it's cooked, the chicken is shredded into small pieces. Then, the rice is cooked separately and flattened out into thin, round sheets. The shredded chicken is placed on top of the rice sheets, and the rice is folded over to make a little pocket or packet.

The finished product is small and triangular, like a little present or a dumpling. It's usually eaten by hand after being unwrapped, and the chicken and rice inside are both soft and easy to chew.

Some people like to add a bit of sauce or seasoning to their pastil, like soy sauce or vinegar. It can be a delicious snack or light meal, perfect for when you're on the go or in need of a quick and tasty bite.
