Pastoral lease

Okay, so imagine you have a really big field, like the size of a whole town! Now, imagine that you let someone else use your big field to grow crops or raise animals, and they agree to pay you rent for using it. That's kind of like what a pastoral lease is!

But instead of just any old field, a pastoral lease is specifically for a big piece of land in the countryside where farmers or ranchers can raise and graze their animals. It's like renting a big field, but it's usually for a really long time, like 30 or 40 years!

The government or the owner of the land sets the rules for how the land can be used, like how many animals can be raised and how much they have to pay. It's like a big agreement that everyone has to follow, so that the land can be used in a fair and sustainable way.

And just like how you have to take care of your toys and put them away when you're done playing with them, the farmers and ranchers who use the land have to take care of the animals and the land too. That way, the land can stay healthy and happy for a really long time!
