Pavlovian-instrumental transfer

Pavlovian-Instrumental Transfer (PIT) is a process where something that was learned has an effect on something else that was learned later. To put it more simply, it's about learning from one thing and using what you learned for something else. For example, if you saw a balloon pop and got scared, then maybe later you'd be scared of popping noises because of what you learned from the balloon. That's an example of PIT!
