Peat

Peat is a kind of soil found in wet areas like bogs, marshes, and swamps. It's made up of decaying plants and other plant matter. Peat is very spongy and good at retaining moisture, which makes it a great soil for growing plants. Peat is also used as fuel, and when burned produces a strong smoky smell.
