Pedantry

Pedantry is when someone pays attention to very small details and insists that everyone else follows them too. It is like being a perfectionist about rules and details. For example, if you have a rule at home that everyone must take their shoes off at the door, a pedant would make sure that everyone follows that rule exactly, even if it means pointing it out to them all the time.
