Pedestrian crossing

A pedestrian crossing is a place where people can cross the street safely. They are usually marked with white lines on the road and yellow or white signs above them. It is important to use pedestrian crossings when walking across a street because they are the safest way to get across the road. Cars and other vehicles have to stop before the pedestrian crossing and wait until it is safe for the person to cross before they can continue driving. When pedestrians are crossing, they should look both ways to make sure no cars are coming and only cross when it is safe.
