Peel tower

A peel tower is a type of castle in England that was built in the Middle Ages. It was usually made of stone and was shaped like a tower or cone. The towers were very important back then because they were used for protection. People would hide inside the tower when danger came and try to defend it. Peel towers were typically built near the edge of a river or on a hill, so that people could spot danger coming from very far away. The walls of peel towers were also very thick, making them difficult to break down if enemies tried to attack.
