Permittivity is a measure of how easily electricity can travel through something. When electricity travels through different materials, it doesn't always travel at the same speed. Permittivity is a measure of how fast electricity can travel through a material. It's kind of like how cars can travel faster on certain roads than on others. Some materials make it easy for electricity to travel faster and some make it take longer to travel. That's why permittivity is an important measure.
