Persian pottery

Persian pottery is like making special plates and bowls out of clay in the country called Iran, which used to be called Persia a long time ago. The people who make Persian pottery use their hands to shape and mold the clay into different shapes and sizes. Then they let the clay dry out in the sun until it's hard like a rock.

After that, they put the hard clay in a special oven called a kiln. When the kiln gets really hot, it turns the clay into a shiny, colorful material that looks like glass. The colors on the pottery come from special paints made from natural materials like minerals and plants.

People have been making Persian pottery for thousands of years, and they use it for all kinds of things, like dishes, cups, and vases. Some pottery is even made into special shapes and designs to be used as decorations for important religious ceremonies.
