Okay kiddo, so perspective distortion is when things in a photo look different than they do in real life. It happens because of the way the camera sees things compared to how our eyes see things. Sometimes, things in the front of the photo look really big, and things in the back look really small, even though they are actually the same size in real life! This can make people and objects in the photo look stretched out or smushed together.
Imagine you're playing with a toy car and a big ball. If you put the car really close to your eyes and the ball far away, the car looks really big and the ball looks really small. But if you put the ball right in front of your face and the car far away, now the ball looks really big and the car looks really small! That's kind of like what happens in a photo when there is perspective distortion.
Photographers can use special lenses to prevent or control perspective distortion, but sometimes it can be used creatively to make a photo look more interesting or dramatic. But if a person or object in the photo looks really distorted or unnatural, it might not be the best photo!
