Peter Hochachka

Peter Hochachka was a scientist who studied how animals can survive in extreme conditions. He studied how their bodies are able to adjust to these conditions and keep them alive. He was especially interested in how animals that live in very cold places, like penguins, can still stay active even when the temperatures get very cold. He also studied how animals that live in hot climates, like desert lizards, can stay cool in the heat. Through his research, he learned a lot about how animals can survive, and helped us to understand more about how all kinds of animals adapt to their environments.
