Philosophy of mathematics is a way of thinking about mathematics. It is all about asking questions to try and understand why mathematical things are the way they are and how they can be used to help us understand the world better. In philosophy of mathematics, we think about questions like "What is the purpose of mathematics?", "Why do some mathematical things have to be true?", and "What is the relationship between mathematics and reality?"
