ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Picard stack

Okay, so imagine you have a bunch of pictures and you want to put them in order. Usually you would just stack them on top of each other, right? Well, imagine if instead of just stacking them randomly, you could stack them in the exact order you want. That's kind of what a Picard stack is.

But it's not just about putting pictures in order. It's also about making sure you don't lose any of the pictures and that they all stay in the right order. Think of it like building a tower of blocks. You start with a bottom block, then you add another block on top of it. But if that block isn't stable or strong enough, it might fall over and mess up the whole tower.

A Picard stack is like building a tower of blocks, but with pictures. You start with a picture and then you add another picture on top of it. But instead of stacking them on top of each other like you would with blocks, you stack them next to each other. And each picture is connected to the one next to it, like a chain.

This helps keep all the pictures in order and makes sure you don't lose any of them. And if you need to add another picture, you can just add it to the end of the stack, like adding another block to a tower. And the rest of the pictures will stay in order, just like the blocks in a tower.

So, that's basically what a Picard stack is. It's a way to keep things in order and make sure you don't lose anything, kind of like building a tower of blocks but with pictures instead.
