Pipe and tabor

Okay kiddo, imagine you have a long tube-like thing that you blow into called a pipe. When you blow into the pipe, it makes a sound. Now imagine you have a small drum-like thing called a tabor. When you hit the tabor with a stick, it makes a sound too.

Now, suppose you played the pipe and tabor together at the same time. It would make a really cool sound that goes boom-boom-tish-boom-boom-tish! This is what we call pipe and tabor music.

People have been playing pipe and tabor music for a very long time. In fact, it was very popular in Europe during the Middle Ages. People would dance to the music and have a lot of fun!
