ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Policy studies

Policy studies is a way of learning about all of the rules that people make up to make sure that things work properly.

Let's pretend that you and your friends wanted to play a game, but you kept arguing about the rules. A person who works in policy studies would come in and figure out the best rules so that everyone can play happily together. They would think about things like fairness, safety, and making sure the game is fun for everyone.

Policy studies can be used for lots of things like figuring out how to keep the environment clean or how to make sure that everyone has access to good healthcare.

So, policy studies are like the rules of the game we play called life!
