Public policy

Public policy is when the government makes rules and laws to help keep everyone safe and make sure people are treating each other in a fair way. It's like having playground rules so everyone can play together safely. Public policy can be anything from how cities protect their clean water to how much schools are funded. The laws and rules that make up public policy are usually created by elected officials in government.
