Political gaffe

A political gaffe is when a politician, or someone in a position of power, accidentally says or does something wrong or inappropriate. This can hurt the politician's reputation and they can lose support from the people they serve. An example of a political gaffe would be if a politician made an offensive joke, or said something they shouldn't have while trying to be serious.
