Position line

Imagine you are playing a game of hide and seek with your friend outside. You both agree to set up a boundary, or a line, that marks the area where you can hide. This line is called the position line.

The position line helps you and your friend know where you can go while playing the game. If you cross the line, you are out of the game and can no longer hide or seek anyone.

In the same way, a position line in other situations helps someone know where they can or cannot go. For example, in a soccer game, there is a position line that marks the boundary of the field. If a player kicks the ball out of this line, the other team gets possession of the ball. The position line helps everyone playing the game know where they can play and what the rules are.
