Post-void dribbling

Hey kiddo! Have you ever had to pee really badly and then after you finish, a little bit of pee still comes out? That's called post-void dribbling. It happens when some pee gets stuck in the little tube called the urethra that pee comes out of, even after you finish peeing.

Sometimes, post-void dribbling can happen because the muscles around the urethra that help you control peeing get weak, like when people get older. Other times, it can happen if you don't fully empty your bladder when you go pee, or if you have certain medical conditions like prostate problems or urinary tract infections.

It's important to make sure you fully empty your bladder when you pee, and if you notice post-void dribbling happening a lot, you should talk to a grown-up like a parent or a doctor. They can help figure out what might be causing it and what to do about it.
