Postliterate society

A postliterate society is a society where most people don't read or write. In a postliterate society, people communicate and share knowledge and information mostly through speaking and other non-written ways, like art, music, and storytelling. People might use computers, smartphones and other technology, but they don't depend on them the same way they depend on words written down.
