Potable water diving

Potable water diving is when a person goes underwater to work or do things in water that is clean enough to drink. It's like going swimming or taking a bath, but the water must be very clean so that people can drink it without getting sick.

When people need to dive in potable water, they wear special equipment so that they can breathe underwater. This includes a mask that covers their nose and mouth and a tank of air that they carry on their back. The air tank has a tube that goes into their mouth, so they can breathe.

People who dive in potable water also need to be very careful. They can't touch anything underwater because the water must be kept very clean. They can't carry anything that might pollute the water either, like trash or chemicals.

The divers might be working to inspect water pipes or fix a problem in a water tank. Whatever they are doing, they need to be very careful not to contaminate the water. If they do, it could make people sick who drink the water.

In short, potable water diving is when someone goes underwater to do things in clean water that is safe for people to drink. They wear special equipment to breathe underwater and need to be very careful not to pollute the water while diving.
