Potassium-ion battery

So, imagine your toy car needs a battery to run, right? In the same way, cars, phones, and other electric stuff also need batteries to work.

Now, there are different types of batteries, like the one you have in your toy car, which has little discs in it called cells, and those cells are filled with a liquid put inside the battery.

Well, the potassium-ion battery works a bit differently. Instead of being filled with a liquid, it has a solid material called an "electrolyte" inside it. This material is sour like lemon and has special ions that can move around inside it.

When we put this battery into a device, the ions inside the electrolyte move around and create energy that can power that device. It's like the electricity is running through pipes, but instead of water or gas, it's these special ions moving around.

One neat thing about potassium-ion batteries is that they use a material called "potassium" instead of other materials like lithium or lead. Potassium is easier to find in nature and is less expensive to use, so it's a better choice for the environment and for our wallets!
