Power shovel

A power shovel is a big machine that can dig up dirt, rocks and other things from the ground. It has a big arm called a boom attached to its body that can move up and down and back and forth. The end of the boom has a big scoop or bucket that can dig into the ground and pick up whatever is underneath it.

The bucket is controlled by a special handle that the person driving the power shovel can use to open and close it. Just like how you use your hands to pick up and hold things, the power shovel uses its bucket to pick up and hold things.

The power shovel is powered by a big engine that makes it move and do all its work. It can move on tracks or wheels depending on the model. The operator sits in a special cab or seat that is high up so they can see everything around them.

Power shovels are used in construction sites, mines, and other places where lot of digging and moving of materials is needed. They are very strong and can move a lot of dirt and rocks quickly, making them very useful for big projects.
