ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Precision teaching

Precision teaching is a way of teaching things very, very precisely. You know how sometimes when you're learning something, like math or reading, you have to keep practicing until you get it right? That's kind of what precision teaching is like.

But precision teaching is even more precise than regular practicing. It's like playing a video game and trying to get the highest score possible - you keep trying over and over and over again until you get really, really good at it.

In precision teaching, you measure how well you're doing using something called a chart. It's like a map that shows you where you are and where you want to go. The chart helps you keep track of all the things you need to learn and how well you're doing at each of them.

Once you know what you need to learn, you practice it over and over again until you can do it perfectly. You might use games or puzzles or other fun activities to help you learn. And every time you do something, you mark it on the chart so you can see how well you're doing.

The goal of precision teaching is to help you learn things very quickly and very well. It's like being a super smart superhero who can do anything you set your mind to!
