Premier League records and statistics

Okay kiddo, do you like soccer? The Premier League is a really famous soccer league in England, and it's been around for a very long time. A league is like a group of teams who play games against each other, and the team with the most points at the end of the season wins.

There are lots of different records and statistics that people keep track of in the Premier League. They're like facts and figures that help us understand how good or bad a team is, or how well a player is doing.

Some records are about individual players, like who has scored the most goals in a season, or who has played the most games. Other records are about teams, like who has won the most games in a season, or who has the most points overall.

Some of the most famous records in the Premier League include:

- The most goals scored in a single season: This record is held by Alan Shearer, who scored 34 goals in the 1994-95 season.
- The most points in a single season: This record is held by Manchester City, who got 100 points in the 2017-18 season. That's a lot of points!
- The team with the most titles: This record is held by Manchester United, who have won the Premier League 13 times.

There are also lots of other statistics that people keep track of, like how many red cards a player has gotten, or how many assists they've made (that means they helped another player score a goal). All of these records and statistics help us understand the game better and appreciate the amazing players and teams who make the Premier League so exciting!
