ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Pressure of speech

Ok kiddo, so you know how when we talk, we use air to make sounds and say different words? Well, sometimes grown-ups can get really excited or feel really anxious, and when they talk, they might start talking super fast and not pause between their words. This is called "pressure of speech." It's like a balloon that gets too full of air and starts to burst if it doesn't let some air out. So when people have pressure of speech, it's like they have too many words in their head and they just want to get them all out really quickly. But sometimes it can be hard for people to keep up or understand what they're saying, so it's important for them to take a breath and slow down a little bit.
