Presupposition

A presupposition is when you have an idea or believe something that is assumed to be true before you have any evidence. It is like having a hunch or guess that something might be true. For example, if I said, "There is a car parked outside," it is assumed that I believe there is a car parked outside, even if I don't have any proof.
