Prima facie right

Prima facie is Latin for 'at first glance.' In the law, a prima facie right means a basic, or obvious, right or truth. If something is a prima facie right, it means that it looks like it is true or correct on the surface, and may be accepted as true until someone can prove that it is wrong.
