Situational ethics

Situational ethics is when you look at a situation and decide what the best thing to do is in this particular situation. This means that you don't just stick to one set of rules all the time, but change them depending on the situation. For example, if you usually follow a rule to not lie, you might decide to lie in a situation if it means you can save someone's life. It's like doing something that you don't usually do, but you do it because it's the right thing to do in that particular situation.
