Prince-elector

Okay kiddo, have you ever played a game where you pick a leader for your team? And have you ever played a game where you have to choose the leader of your group who will make really important decisions? Well, that's kind of what a prince-elector is.

In the olden days, there was a country called Germany that had lots of different rulers who wanted to be the boss of everyone else. These rulers were called princes. And since they couldn't all be boss at the same time, they had to pick one person to lead the country.

But they didn't want to just let anyone be the leader. They wanted to make sure they picked someone who was smart and fair. So they came up with a special group of important princes called prince-electors. These princes were chosen to vote on who would be the leader of Germany.

So it was like a game, where the prince-electors got to pick the leader of their team. They were like judges who decided who would be the best leader for the country. And whoever they picked would be in charge of Germany and make all the important decisions.

And that's what a prince-elector is, a special prince who helps choose the leader of a country.
