ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Priority right

Priority right means that someone who has created or invented something has the right to use it or apply for a patent before anyone else. It's like a line where you get to go first because you thought of it or made it first.

For example, imagine you and your friend have the same idea for a new toy, but you thought of it first and started making it. If you both want to patent the toy, you have priority right because you were the first one to come up with the idea and start making it.

Having priority right helps protect the original creator's idea and gives them a head start before others can try to copy or claim ownership of the invention or idea.
