Process flow diagram

A process flow diagram is like a picture book that shows how a job gets done. Just like in a picture book, the pictures show the important things that happen one after the other. The process flow diagram shows the steps in a process, like how a cake is made or how a car is built.

It has lots of pictures and arrows that show the direction of the process from start to finish. The pictures in a process flow diagram also show how each step affects the next step, so you can see how they all fit together like puzzle pieces.

If you were baking a cake, the process flow diagram would show you pictures of putting the ingredients together, mixing them, pouring the batter into the pan, and baking the cake in the oven. It would also show you what things you need to do first, next, and last.

Process flow diagrams are helpful because they let you see the big picture of how things get done. If you have a big project or a complicated task, a process flow diagram can help you figure out the steps you need to take and how they all fit together to get the job done.
