Professional wrestling throws

Okay kiddo, have you ever watched professional wrestling on TV or seen it live? Great! So you know that wrestlers like to throw each other around the ring. But did you know that there are different types of throws they use?

Let's start with a basic one called a body slam. This is when one wrestler picks up another wrestler and slams them onto the mat. It looks a lot like picking up a pillow and throwing it on your bed. The wrestler being slammed usually lands on their back or side.

Another throw is called a suplex. This is when one wrestler grabs another wrestler around the waist and lifts them up and over their head, then slams them onto the mat. It's kind of like doing a backwards somersault in the air, then crashing down onto your back.

A hip toss is a throw where one wrestler grabs another and tosses them over their hip. It's like a fancy way of throwing someone to the ground in a playful way.

A DDT (which stands for "dropping dead on the mat") is a throw where one wrestler puts their arm around the neck of another wrestler, then jumps and falls to the mat while bringing the other wrestler with them. It's like falling backwards while giving someone a piggyback ride.

There are many more types of throws in professional wrestling, but those are just a few examples. Just remember that these are all carefully choreographed moves performed by trained athletes, and you should never try to do them at home.
