Project Cybersyn

Project Cybersyn was an experimental project from the 1970s. It was created in Chile by the government and was a cybernetic system that monitored the country’s economy. It was designed to help the government make decisions by connecting various data points and providing a real-time view of the economic status. This meant that the government could better respond to what was happening in the country and make decisions that were more informed. The system used several computers and other data-gathering tools to give the government the most accurate picture possible. The project was eventually shut down due to a lack of funding, but it showed that using computers to gather data can be beneficial for government decision-making.
