Proton therapy

Proton therapy is a type of cancer treatment that uses proton beams to kill cancer cells. Instead of X-rays or other radiation, proton therapy shoots tiny bits of energy, called protons, at the cancer cells. The protons have a lot of energy, which can kill the cancer cells. The proton beam is very precise, so it can be targeted to just the cancer cells without harming nearby healthy cells.
